    HASTI State Conference

    February 20th-22nd, 2026

    Submit a program/workshop proposal for the 2026 HASTI Annual Conference, February 20-22, 2026 

    at Noblesville High School, Noblesville, IN.

    Strands: 

    Cultivating joy in education- Strategies for helping teachers stay positive, present and engaged in teaching

    Creating space for science- Presentations will include ideas for how elementary and preschool teachers can incorporate science in their busy schedules, how Middle and High School teachers can fit in needed content

    Driving Innovation in STEM- Presentations in this strand will address the future of technology and how it fits into science education

    Fostering Sustainability in science- Proposals will include ideas about how science can be used to sustain our environment, ecology and future

    New guidelines have been established for session proposals.  Read carefully the descriptions provided to determine what category to submit proposals.  Each presenter is limited to submitting a maximum of two  proposals.  

    Please note: A separate portal is open for commercial or non-profit exhibitors who would like to make a presentation.  All other proposals will be put on a waitlist.


    Active and Retired Teachers/Educators:

    Active and Retired teachers/educators (and co-presenters) are invited to submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals for consideration.  Proposals should focus on the presenter's individual work and not offer any endorsements to specific products or services available on the market.


    Types of Presentations



    Workshop/Lecture Sessions

    Presenters will have 45 minutes to share their session either in a hands-on or lecture format.

    Extended Workshop Sessions

    These sessions will last 1 hour and 45 minutes and should use the entirety of the workshop to present a hands on experience for attendees.

    Share-A-Thons

    Attendees to the share-a-thon sessions should check the themes for their grade level and bring a lesson to share! Lessons will be shared informally, usually for 3-5 minutes as teachers circulate from table to table.  This is an excellent way for pre-service teachers to dip their toes into presenting their ideas! 

    Elementary: Link idea/lesson to children's literature

    Middle: bring your favorite lesson to share!

    High School: bring your favorite lesson to share!

    Nonprofit Organizations or Government Agencies:

    Nonprofit Organizations and Government Agencies are invited to submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals for consideration. Proposals should focus on resources that are freely available and do not have any fee attached for participants to be able to fully utilize said resources.

    Presentations focused on offering product(s) for sale, paid training or professional learning opportunities, supplements, or additional resources for a fee will need to be submitted as an Exhibitor Workshop.

    Commercial Organizations

    Commercial Organizations are invited to present via the Exhibitor Workshop option. To be eligible, companies must have an exhibit booth for the respective conference. Exhibitor workshops are guaranteed to be scheduled provided they meet acceptable standards of taste and NSTA Safety Guidelines.  Commercial Organizations need to register as an Exhibitor.  

    Science Consultants

    Science Consultants are invited to submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals for consideration. Proposals should focus on the presenter's individual work and not promote use of consultant’s service or any fee-based materials.

    Types of Presentations


    Related Paper/Presentation Sessions

    In a related paper or presentation session, presenters will have 10 minutes to share their work or research along with 2 other presenters that have completed work that is in a similar vein or conference strand.  Each presenter will have 10 minutes to share their work or research with the last 15 minutes reserved for questions from the audience.  

    Workshop Sessions

    Presenters will have 45 minutes to share their session either in a hands-on or lecture format.

    2026 HASTI  Conference Exhibit Registration

    The 2026 HASTI will be held February 20-22,  2026 at Noblesville High School, Noblesville, IN. The HASTI State Conference provides you an opportunity to highlight your newest products and advertise your company name to over 250+ Indiana science,  STEM teachers, administrators, aspiring science educators, and anyone with an interest in improving science and STEM education in Indiana. We hope you will be able to join us!

    Commercial Table Information:

    Exhibit tables are available on a first come, first served basis.  Exhibitors registering early will receive a table in a higher traffic area.
    Each space includes:

    • One 6’ table
    • Two chairs
    • Two staff registrations with lunch
    • Two 45-minute presentation slots.  Program proposals must be submitted separately and are subject to approval by the Conference Planning Committee.  Deadline for submission of proposal is September 20, 2026.  The sale of products is prohibited during sessions.  Visit the following link to submit your presentation for the conference:

    • One (1) Table Space - $300  
    You will be provided with a 6' table and  two chairs.  You can bring your own table cloth and have a backdrop that fits behind your table.  There will be a waiting list for renting two tables this this year.

    There is no map this year as the exhibit area will be located in the hallways.  It will be important to know if electricity is needed to help determine your location.  There is no charge for electricity hookup.  The exhibits manager will fill tables as paid  registrations are completed.

    Cancellation Deadlines and Fees:

    Administrative Fees will be applied for cancellations prior to January 30, 2026.  Fee schedule is below:

                (1) Commercial Table Space - $150

                 (1) Not-for-profit Table Space - $100

    After January 30, 2026 exhibitors are responsible for full booth cost.

    Services:

    Table rentals are contracted through HASTI. This includes electrical service when needed.


    Staff Badges:

    Each exhibiting firm will be entitled to register two (2) representatives.  Exhibitors will be billed $40 for each additional representative.  Staff badges are intended for exhibitors only.  Lunch is included for each registered representative.

    Rules & Regulations:

    1.  There is no additional security personnel during the hours the exhibit area is closed as the building will be closed and locked. However, the exhibitor is solely responsible for their own exhibit material and should insure their exhibit against loss or damage. It is suggested that you bring something to cover your exhibit with when the exhibit area is closed.

    2.  Exhibit tables must be staffed during exhibit hours. Each exhibitor must wear an official exhibitor’s identification badge provided by HASTI .

    3.  HASTI  reserves the right to make modifications to the exhibit hours as may be necessary to meet program needs.

    4.  The exhibitor agrees not to dismantle or pack their display before the close of the exhibit and subsequent designated tear down time.

    5.  Any exhibitor selling merchandise agrees to abide by all state & local tax regulations, and, if necessary, for collecting and submitting payment of sales tax to the appropriate legal authority.

    6.  Exhibitors, or their agents, shall not injure or deface the walls or floors of the buildings, tables, or the equipment of the tables. When such damage appears, the exhibitor is liable to the owner of the property so damaged.

    7.  Helium balloons are not allowed.

    8.  Any exhibitor wishing to offer food or beverage at their table must contact  Exhibits Manager for more information.  Email:  ExhibitsManager@hasti.org

    Advertising

    All exhibitors will be highlighted in the online mobile app (Guidebook).  This app includes access to the conference program, networking,  and the attendees of the conference.  The app is capable of sending out messages to the attendees for special events during the conference.

    These two hour workshops will focus on: 

    These sessions are being scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, both am and pm.


    --Cost to register is $10 per session, which will be added to the conference registration fee or all 4 for $35.

    --Teachers MUST pre-register for these sessions during registration and will not be able to register on site. 


    --Each workshop is limited to 20 participants at a time, to serve a total of 80 participants throughout the conference

    Guidebook is back

    The HASTI program will be available through an online mobile app - Guidebook.  This format is available to those who register for the conference.  Features include providing evaluations to presentations, PGP credentials, networking with presenters, attendees, and vendors.  With the usage of Guidebook there will be NO printed program.

    HASTI Meals 

    Included with conference registration is a lunch for both Saturday and Sunday.  The planning committee recognized that there are special needs for our attendees.  If you require a special lunch that is not listed on the registration form please contact the Registration Manager with your request.  We will do our best about accommodating special meals.  Pre-registration guarantees meals for the conference.  Onsite registration does not include meals.

    College Student and Beginning Teachers Conference Scholarship 

    Application for the College Student  and Beginning Teacher Conference Scholarship to attend the 2026 HASTI conference is now open.   Those receiving scholarships will submit sessions attended and report their learnings.  Go to the following link to apply for a scholarship.
