Join staff from the Indianapolis Zoo and science teacher educators from Ball State University for the 2017 Conservation Educator Academy.

This year's theme is Macaws and Birds of the Tropical Rain Forest. Participants will go behind the scenes at the Zoo, including the new Macaw exhibit, and learn about conservation efforts globally and locally that impact birds in rainforests. Presentations by international macaw experts and local researchers and bird experts included.

Teachers will also develop inquiry lesson plans to use in the classroom and learn about educational resources at the Zoo.

Cost for the workshop is $20, and participants are responsible for bringing or buying their own lunch.

To register, call 317-630-2000.
